My Dogs
This fine gentleman is Aubie. Heinz 57, lab mix. Born in 2002, don’t know when for sure, he was found by a military couple when he was about 8 weeks old—along with his sister and brother. We adopted him from the paper.
This is Ella Belle. Golden Retriever/Shepard mix. We adopted her four years ago from PAWS, a local rescue group here in Columbus, Ga.
I do not like the cone of shame.
~Aubie
P.S. When are we going to take the bandages off of my tail? I look utterly ridiculous wagging a baseball bat.

Interesting post! I love my dogs so much so I understand what your trying to say. Golden retrievers are the most beautiful dogs in the world! Best Regards!
They should have obedience instruction as soon as possible. And many of all, they don’t turn into calm until they’ve totally outgrown the puppy stage. It’s most suitable that you take note of these details if you want to have this kind of dog for a pet.
okay, that’s a bit weird. Great dogs, but I mean I have two dogs as well and the top one sort of looks like my Shiloh and the bottom one sort of looks like my Molly. That’s what I meant by weird. By the way, if you’re wondering who I am, I’m a facebook friend/reader of Doug Brown and also a writer. I like the cover art and the info for your Thief of Nightshade book, which I plan on buying when it comes out, so that’s why I’m checking out your site.
